Heavy Lifts

A-Z Rigging & Scaffolding has been engaged by many of our clients to come up with solutions to their large and heavy lift requirements. From the jacking of large above ground petrol storage tanks in the Shell Oil Refinery in Geelong Victoria Australia to the skating and replacement of large vessels and machinery in the Pulp and Paper Industry and the Construction Industry throughout New Zealand.

A-Z Rigging & Scaffolding was involved from the very beginning with a project to replace a 60 tonne MG cylinder with an 80 tonne cylinder at Carter Holt Harvey Tissue's mill in Kawerau, New Zealand. We had a lot of input with design and concept for the lift, which took just three 24 hour days.

Lifting a 90 tonne MCC Module for the Fibre Line Project at Tasman Pulp & Paper, Kawerau, New Zealand. We were contracted by Fletcher Construction to supply equipment and labour for the duration of the project. We supplied Heavy Lift Crews, Steel Erection Crews, Scaffolding Crews and Supervision.

One of four 70 tonne air bags used to jack the old MG cylinder down from its frames and to jack up the new cylinder. A-Z Rigging & Scaffolding has eight of these bags, and an Air Skate System.
